Dyscalculia Matters Book 1: Ages 5-7

Effective ways of working with children who struggle with maths

Many children who struggle with maths have weaknesses in the three key areas that maths teaching usually relies on: a sense of number, effective memory skills and an ability to work in sequences. This series offers the guidance you need to teach these children successfully. It clarifies where a child with dyscalculia needs to start in their maths learning and how to teach them so that they can connect with this subject. Written by a teacher with extensive experience in dealing with dyscalculia, this series sidesteps ineffectual worksheets and instead concentrates on offering a wealth of hands-on ideas that you can use to guide the child through the concepts essential for maths learning.
